In 1990, I stepped away from a corporate job as a sales manager and trainer to open my own consulting practice. I knew there would be many challenges to starting my own business. One challenge I didn't anticipate was having to start it over three times!
You see, within the first ten years, I had to move three times, each time to a new city where I had no contacts or connections.In essence, each time I moved I had to start-up my business from scratch.
And an amazing thing happened. in the process of rebuilding over and over again, I got better and better at it.
Each time I had to restart, I got clients sooner. I got profitable faster than the time before.
Hard as it was, starting over three times taught me how to jump right in, get clients and build profits fast.
