Study Action Groups Schedule

What are Study Action Groups? Study Action Groups are designed to help you study a topic, take action to implement it, and gain benefits from the feedback of a small working group led by a faculty member that is an expert on the topic.

You will meet once a week for four (4) weeks by telephone, with participant numbers limited to 6.   We want you to be able to attend, no matter where you are.  Simply carve out 90 minutes a week for 4 weeks so you can turn your ideas into action – and test your thinking along the way.

Study Action Groups address different phases of your consulting practice:

  • "Transition" – for people in transitioning out of being an executive or employee and into being an independent consultant.
  • "Start-up" – for independent consultants in the first year of running their own business.
  • "Sales and Marketing" - for any independent consultants that need to improve their sales and marketing skills to get more clients.

  7. [...] Leave a comment If you want to do more than just survive as an independent consultant, if you actually want to thrive, you must make use of every avenue that can connect you to potential clients.   Yet many mature consultants shy away from social media. "It's for kids," they say. "My potential clients aren't going to be wasting their time tweeting."   If that's what you think, a post at Hubspot  wants to show you why you're wrong.   The post shows proof that the heaviest users of social media are NOT youngsters, but people 35-44 years old. And more than 40% of them use social media for business.   Using data compiled by Pingdom and the SMB Group, Hubspot shows a graph which reveals that mature business people ARE using social networks. What's more, they're using them to make purchasing decisions.   "That means digital word of mouth and customer evangelism may be one of your best sources of leads and customers," says Hubspot.   You may have delayed picking up social media skills because you didn't think it was relevant. But now you know it is extremely relevant. And it's never too late to learn. At Consultants Gold, were committed to helping independent consultants come to grips with social networking and use it effectively to build relationships with potential clients.   Dr. Ira S. Wolfe, successful independent business consultant and expert on social media, is teaching a Study Action Group titled "Social Media and the Internet – How to Use It to Grow Your Business."   If you're overwhelmed or confused about how to use the internet to find clients, this 4-part live-on-the-telephone Study Action Group is for you.
